Custom DeLand Deck & Fence provides residential and commercial deck and fence construction, installation, repair, and related outdoor structure services in DeLand, FL and surrounding areas. The specific scope of any project is defined in a written estimate or contract provided to the customer prior to the start of work.

We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion and without obligation to provide a reason.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Free on-site estimates are provided without obligation. An estimate is not a binding contract. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of the site visit. The final price may change if:

• The scope of work changes at the customer's request
• Unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins (such as rotted framing, buried obstacles, or code requirements that were not apparent at the time of the estimate)
• Material costs change significantly between the estimate date and the start of work

Any changes to the original estimate will be communicated to the customer before additional work proceeds. We will not perform work that materially increases the project cost without customer approval.

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

Project start dates are estimates and are subject to change based on weather, material availability, crew scheduling, and other factors outside our control. We will communicate schedule changes to you as soon as we are aware of them.

If you need to reschedule or cancel a project, please contact us as soon as possible. Projects cancelled after materials have been ordered may be subject to restocking fees or material costs already incurred. We will be transparent about any costs before they become your responsibility.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in the written contract for each project. Generally:

• A deposit may be required to secure your project on our schedule and cover material costs
• Final payment is due upon completion of the project
• Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of contract signing

Overdue balances may be subject to a late fee as permitted by Florida law. We reserve the right to suspend work on projects with outstanding unpaid balances.

6. Permits and Inspections

Some deck and fence projects require building permits under local codes. Where permits are required, we will identify this during the estimate process. If the customer is responsible for obtaining permits, we will communicate this clearly. We are not liable for delays caused by permitting office wait times, inspection scheduling, or code changes that occur after an estimate is issued.

7. Warranty and Workmanship

We stand behind the quality of our work. Specific warranty terms are provided in writing at the time of project completion. Generally:

• Our workmanship warranty covers defects in installation for a period specified in your written contract
• Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are separate from our workmanship warranty
• The warranty does not cover damage caused by weather events, improper maintenance, third-party modifications, or normal wear and tear

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid to us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
